WEEKDAY WORK CREW

Workday Work Crews are made up of individuals who are able to dedicate a full weekday to a construction project. The crews are organized as Wednesday and Thursday crews and contribute at a work site as the building schedule requires. Construction trade skills are desirable but not required.

The Wednesday/Thursday crews are comprised of 10-15 volunteers who enjoy construction work. The typical project is the construction of a new 1100 square foot house. As the home progresses all phases of the work are done from basic framing to final finish and trim. A paid site supervisor with residential construction experience works with the volunteers to make sure they know how to do the work safely and with quality. This is an opportunity to work with a friendly crew of volunteers, learn some new construction skills, and have the satisfaction of working with a family who will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to own their own home. Typical volunteers are handy around the house but not necessarily experienced in construction. You can volunteer to work on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s or both on a flexible basis as you have time to contribute and the building schedule requires. Typically work schedule is 8:30 to 3:30.
