VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

Volunteer Orientation sessions are held approximately 4 times a year. The agenda is usually:

  • Overview and Introduction to Habitat for Humanity

  • Video Introduction to Habitat International

  • Raritan Valley Habitat activities and accomplishments

  • Committees Overviews (see committee descriptions)

  • Current Job Needs

  • Volunteer Information Form

These sessions are designed to provide an opportunity to get to know the chapter and the people involved. Generally the committee overviews are presented by the individual chairing the respective committee. They will discuss committee responsibilities, activities and accomplishments.

Each Orientation session lasts about 90 minutes during which questions are welcome. At the conclusion of the meeting you will be invited to discuss your individual interests with the presenters and Habitat staff.

The Orientation begins at 7:30 pm, generally on a Tuesday evening. They are usually located at the United Reformed Church in Somerville, NJ Directions Future Orientation dates can be found on the Events page.
