ADULT ORGANIZATIONS & CLUBS
What can our group do for Habitat?
Your service club, alumni organization, or other interested group can
spend a day on site building a Habitat house. Each group is asked to
sponsor the day with a suggested minimum of $50 per person (fundraising examples: hold a fundraiser or donating construction
materials). Sponsors are then given the opportunity to schedule a
Saturday workday on site exclusively for members of their group. Up
to 15 group members can be accommodated per site, per day
(8:30am-3:30pm). The Workday program is a unique
opportunity for your group to give back to the community in a tangible
way, helping to build a home for a family in need.
For other types of group involvement see Business
Partnerships or
Community Partnerships.
If your group is not interested in working on site, there are other
ways to volunteer. The Habitat Home Helpers program lets your
group contribute useful items to help our new homeowners get off to a
good start, or to keep our construction teams moving ahead. Or, your
group could join us in getting our newsletters and other mailings
ready to go.
