The Family

The Gad-Fahim Family

Michael Gad and Marim Fahim are a young couple with three little daughters: Avrosina, Aillaria, and Anastasia. In 2007 Michael and Marim emigrated to the United States from Egypt and are now permanent residents who have applied for US citizenship.

Currently the family lives in a one bedroom apartment in South River. The apartment complex is located on a busy street with no place for the girls to play.  Michael and Marim work very hard to support their growing family.  Michael works two jobs – as a driver for a food distribution company and as a district sales representative for a major discount store.  In addition to caring for the children, Marim works as a sales associate at membership warehouse club.  Having been trained and worked as a social worker in a middle school in Egypt, Michael hopes to be able to complete the studies necessary to pursue that career in New Jersey. Marim hopes to pursue a career in accounting, which she studied in Egypt.

Michael and Marim are a bright, enthusiastic couple, dedicated to providing a safe, stable home for their daughters.  They feel that being chosen as a partner family is the answer to their prayers.  They are eager to take on the responsibility of partnering with RVHFH to build their home and to be good neighbors in their new community.
