Step by Step Program
Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity requires an
excellent seminar that is available to families who want to buy their
first home. The Step by Step program is sponsored by the Somerset
County Coalition of Affordable Housing (SCCOAH). This workshop
provides the following information:
personal budgeting
credit counseling
steps in buying a home
working with a Realtor
getting a mortgage
affordable housing programs for Somerset County
The workshop, which is free and open to all interested parties, is
held each month from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Complimentary dinner is

You must register with SCCOAH in advance of the program date. When you
complete this seminar, you will receive a certificate for home-buyer
education.

Individual Development Accounts (IDA) Program
This NORWESCAP program will help you on your path to
economic freedom. RVHFH recommends contacting NORWESCAP (1-800-480-8662)
to find out if you are eligible for this
program which could help pay for a new home, car, education or
starting a new business. For more information read about the
