Central Jersey Housing Resource Center – Group Counseling Programs

RVHFH requires that all applicants complete at least one of these seminars sponsored by Central Jersey Housing Resource Center (CJHRC), which are available to families who want to buy their first home: The Step by Step program; the 1st Time Homebuyers program; or the eHome America program (Spanish only).

  To find the date and location of the next available program, call CJHRC at (908) 704-8901 or click here. You must register with CJHRC in advance. When you complete this seminar, you will receive a certificate for home-buyer education.

Central Jersey Housing Resource Center – Savings Match Program


CJHRC’s Savings Match Program will help low- and moderate-income approved households save for a specific goals. For every dollar deposited in your savings account, CJHRC will provide matching funds at a rate of 4:1, up to a maximum of $1,200.

NORWESCAP – “Dollars to Dreams” Individual Development Accounts (IDA) Program

This NORWESCAP program will help you on your path to economic freedom. RVHFH recommends contacting NORWESCAP (1-800-480-8662) to find out if you are eligible for this program. IDA dollars can be used for the down payment and closing costs on a home. For more information, read about the Dollars to Dreams program.
