Process

How the Process Works

Approximately six to nine months before building begins, Habitat conducts orientation sessions for prospective applicants. Attendance at one of the Homeowner Applicant Orientations is required of all applicants. These meetings will be posted in the Events Section of this website when scheduled.

BECOME A HOMEOWNER NOW!!

We are currently providing a unique opportunity for 6 families looking to own their own homes. This small community of farm-house style homes with TWO bathrooms will be located on acres of flowing meadows and rural countryside of Kingwood Township in Hunterdon County.

For more information check out the Events Section of this website.

At Homeowner Applicant Orientations, the applicant receives useful information on Habitat for Humanity and the application process. Applications are accepted about six months prior to groundbreaking. The Family Selection Committee reviews applications and selects qualified families for home visits. The Board of Directors approve all qualified applicants. The families are then selected by lottery.
