BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS
Partnerships with local businesses have been critical to the success
of Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity (RVHFH). Whether your
organization works side by side with a family in need to construct a
new home, donates buildings supplies or services, or provides the
financial sponsorship to make it all possible, your partnership with
Habitat will help you make a real difference in your community.

Home Sponsorship Programs
Simply put, home construction costs money. Typical expenses include:
- Land acquisition ($70,000-125,000)
- Site cleanup & infrastructure ($25,000-50,000)
- Construction 2007 estimate ($100,000)
All of these funds must be raised locally, and business sponsorship
is welcome at any level.
Why should your organization sponsor a Habitat home?
-
Becoming a home sponsor gives your team a well-earned
sense of pride and accomplishment as they see a home rise from
the ground up
-
Working on-site promotes teamwork among diverse groups of
employees
-
Sponsoring a home allows a large number of employees to
get involved
-
Home sponsorship yields excellent publicity opportunities

Signature Sponsor
As the Signature Sponsor, your organization becomes the driving
force behind the construction of a new home, providing both the
funding and the people power to build the home from start to
finish. A Signature Sponsor provides $100,000 in cash or in-kind
donations to support construction expenses. Then, up to 15 employees
per day join Habitat staff on site for dedicated workdays
throughout the construction schedule. Volunteers work under the
supervision of experienced Habitat construction personnel,
performing tasks ranging from framing and roofing to painting and
landscaping.
Acting as a Signature Sponsor may be the most rewarding way for your
organization to support Habitat. Signature Sponsors receive:
-
On-site signage throughout construction
-
Press releases coinciding with site and home dedication
festivities
-
Dedicated workdays for your employees throughout the
construction schedule
-
Recognition in the RVHFH Newsletter and Annual Report
-
Ongoing communication with RVHFH during construction
-
Certificates and tokens of recognition to employees
involved in the project
Perhaps most importantly, building a home from the ground up lets
your team see the impact of their combined efforts as they work to
make a real difference in their community.

Construction Materials/Services
Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity (RVHFH) accepts donations of any
new materials required for construction, as well as any required
service. All donations and discounts provided to RVHFH are tax
deductible. And every donation reduces our construction expenses,
allowing us to help more local families.
Examples of materials and services routinely needed include:
- Excavation services
- Electrical and plumbing services
- Legal services
- New building materials
All material and construction service donations need to be
authorized by our construction coordinator. To discuss potential
material or service donations, please contact us at (908) 704-0016,
or rvhfh@rvhabitat.org.

Land
Without land, we have nowhere to build. Locating and acquiring land
is both a major expense and a major time commitment for Habitat
volunteers. Any assistance your company can provide in identifying
and acquiring appropriate home sites is extremely valuable.
If you would like to discuss a potential land acquisition
opportunity, please contact us at (908) 704-0016 or
rvhfh@rvhabitat.org.
