The Raritan Valley Habitat organization, volunteers, donors and partner families are blessed with a rich local support system. There are a number of organizations that we are able to reach out to and who support our mission. These include:

Consumer Credit Counseling of New Jersey (www.cccsnj.com) - A non-profit agency offering ways to get out of debt and use credit wisely.

Coalition on Affordable Housing (COAH): (http://www.state.nj.us/dca/coah/lookingforhousing.shtml) - A government agency helping to facilitate the production of sound, affordable housing for low and moderate income households by providing the most effective process to municipalities, housing providers, nonprofit and for profit developers to address a constitutional obligation within the framework of sound, comprehensive planning.

Resource Center for Women & Their Families (www.rcwtf.org) - The Resource Center for Women and Their Families is the lead domestic violence agency in Somerset County. Our mission is to prevent domestic violence by providing protection, education, and resources to empower victims.

Somerset County Council on Affordable Housing (SCCOAH) (www.sccoah.org) - The Somerset County Coalition On Affordable Housing (SCCOAH) is a non-profit alliance of representatives from corporate and financial institutions, the real estate and development communities, social service providers, government leaders, and housing advocates working to increase the accessibility and availability of affordable housing in Somerset County.

United Way of Somerset County (www.somersetonline.org/scuw/scuw.htm) – The local United Way agency connecting people who care with our neighbors in need. UWSC is organized to supports health and human service providers, raises funds and effectively invests them, develops volunteer resources. and build community collaboratives and partnerships.

United Way Tri-State (www.uwts.org) - The United Way of Tri-State is an area-wide cooperative of major corporate fundraising drives. This partnership allows 31 local United Ways to benefit from Tri-State’s leadership in campaigning at large corporations with sites throughout the region and nation. Like other independent local United Ways across the country, United Way of Tri-State is separately incorporated and is independently governed by a local board of community leaders and volunteers.
